Latvijas Unibanka has signed a syndicate credit agreement for 45 million dollars.

On June 3, 1998 Latvijas Unibanka has signed a syndicate credit
agreement of receiving 45 million dollars for three years. The interest
rate will be three months LIBOR rate plus 0.65%. This credit will be
used for financing the investment projects of Latvian enterprises.
The organizers of this syndicate credit are Bank Gesellschaft Berlin AG
and Barclays Bank PLC.
The following 16 foreign banks from 8 different countries have been
syndicatized in this project: Bank Gesellschaft Berlin Ag (Germany),
Barclays Bank PLC (England), Vereins - und Westbank AG (Germany),
Dresdner Bank Luxembourg (Germany), Landesbank Schleswig Holstein
(Germany), Hungarian Foreign Trade Bank (Hungary), ING Barings
(Netherlands), Landesbank Rheinland-Pfalz (Germany), SGZ-Bank AG
(Germany), American Express Bank LTD (US), Baden-Wurttembergerishe Bank
AG (Germany), EFIBANKA S.p.A. (Italy), Nordeutsche Landes Bank
(Germany), Republic Natioanl Bank of New York (US), Unibank (Denmark)
un Zuercher Kantonalbank (Switzerland).
