COMMENT ON THE BNS NEWS ITEM FITCH IBCA HAS LOWERED

THE INDIVIDUAL RATING OF ÜHISPANK

 

Eesti Ühispank hereby makes the announcement that on 25 February  1999

Fitch IBCA  rating agency  lowered the  bank's individual  rating to D

replacing the former C/D. The reason for it is the negative return  on

equity in 1998.

 

Other ratings were reviewed and remained unchanged:

Long-term rating                BBB-
